Does Numera support sample filtration?

Yes, a Filtration Module is available to be added to the Numera auto-sampling system.

The filtration module utilizes compressed air to push the sample against the filter tape, effectively breaking the cells. Tangential flow then enables the collection of the supernatant, which is subsequently transferred to the vial.

The unique cross-flow filtration technology, featuring a low protein binding PES membrane, supports up to 700 filtrations per coil with membrane pore sizes available in 0.22 μm, 0.45 μm, 0.65 μm, and 1.2 μm, ensuring a fresh membrane section for every filtration cycle to avoid cross-contamination and clogging.
